If you’re anywhere in the D/FW area, come join us at First Baptist Grand Prairie on the night of Sunday, January 31st. We are starting a new monthly contemporary service, and we’d love to see you!

Snooze’d.

I can’t even begin to tell you how exhausted I am.

It’s a good exhaustion, I suppose. This weekend was awesome. Friday night, Jenn and I did nothing more than go out to eat for dinner. Spent the rest of the evening relaxing at home doing nothing. Then on Saturday morning, we got up nice and early and reported to the church for Loving Grand Prairie, which is a program where we are assigned houses that are in dire need of yard work, painting, etc.. Refuge had a pretty good turnout: Me, Jenn, Misty, Erin, Joe, Brandon, Laura, and Matt. We were assigned two houses in the Dalworth area that needed all sorts of landscaping work done, and we blew through it all in a couple hours. It was a lot of fun!

We went to a park afterward where the city was hosting a picnic for the volunteers. Chowed down on some hot dogs and relaxed for a bit. Soon as we finished eating, though, I had to head back to the church for orchestra/choir rehearsal. We worked on the Easter music for two stinkin’ hours. Wore. Me. Out. But I guess it paid off in the end, because we sounded excellent during the performance on Sunday.

This weekend coming up should prove to be just as busy. I’m performing a duet with the one and only Dr. Gordon Page for the Good Friday evening service, plus I have a little solo as part of the program. Then, on Saturday, I have to drive up to Frisco. I was asked by my friend who works for LEGO if I would get the local AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) club together to build models for the new LEGO Store opening there. Should be a lot of fun building that stuff, but the drive up there is gonna suck a little. Plus, I think we’re having an orchestra rehearsal at 1:00 that day, so I may have to cut out early (the meeting starts at 11:00). I’m okay with that.

AND THEEENNNN…….. Sunday brings us two Easter celebration services, including one at 8:15. … Yuck. But on the bright side, I get to play that Casting Crowns piece with Gordon two times, so I can’t complain too much. 🙂

I’m kind of sad that I’m thinking about all this and getting even more tired. It’s only Monday, I’ve got a full week of work and school ahead of me, and I’ve got all this stuff going on next week. Oh wait, now that I think about it, I have Good Friday off. Maybe I’ll be able to catch a nap that day. HAH.
